Ok! Hi everyone! I am awfully excited! (Excited about science? No way!)Why? Because I have decided to do 'whether or not temperature/the type of paper plays a part on the effectiveness of Blu Tack'. My foot is down. For now.
I'm allowed to change it if I later find out that I don't want to do this, right?
So basically, I'm going to use one wall of my room to put up the posters or whatever on. This will make the results more consistent and unbiased. The temperature will be the indepedent variable as it affects the Blu Tack. The time period will also be independent. Therefore, the effectiveness of the Blu Tack will be the depedent variable. The amount of Blu Tack and the choice of materials used to be stuck up, as well as my wall are the controlled variables.
Over what period of time will this experiment be conducted over? Well, I'm not sure yet. I think I'll check out the weekly weather report and find a week or weeks that are a bit 'PMS-y' and temperamental to give a varied result, because if I did say, a week where the temperature is pretty much the same, the results won't say much.
Alternatively, I could just do whether or not the material of what is being stuck up by the Blu Tack plays a part in its effectiveness.
Good thing about this experiment is that I don't have to go around buying beakers or finding some way to get scientific equipment, meaning it is conductible at home.
Plan on researching further into this and providing more information later on. So stay tuned!
